I am a senior accounts assistant within the Corporate Support team. I enjoy doing a mixture of work and look after audits, charities, solicitor accounts rules as well as general practice accounts, though I also do some light bookkeeping work and other unofficial jobs like making the tea and (gradually) teaching my colleagues some Mandarin Chinese.
If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be and why? If I was an animal I’d like to be a meerkat, as their curious and friendly nature really speaks to me – plus I feel that living in a hot climate would suit me very well!
First celebrity you ever fancied and how do you feel about them now? Only one I can recall is Dev Patel – still have a soft spot for him to this day.
Out for food, what are you eating and drinking? Anything well-seasoned, though I’m partial to vegetarian food as well, and for drinks I’m happy with anything ice cold!
Best song and what does it remind you of? Coldplay’s ‘The Scientist’, my family are all big Coldplay fans so have grown up alongside their music.
What did/do you want to be when you grow up? An author! I loved reading as a child and when in primary school I won a prize for my rewrite of Roald Dahl’s ‘James and the Giant Peach’ – my version took place in a nectarine, and after my success I became convinced that the high-stakes literary world was the place for me!
